Shipping & Order Policy


At Haus of Chocolat, we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. Please review our Shipping and Order Policy carefully to understand our processes. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Order Placement

Please ensure that all order details are accurate and complete before finalising your purchase. Once an order has been submitted, changes cannot be guaranteed.

After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. A second notification will be sent once your order is being processed, followed by a shipping confirmation email with your waybill number for tracking.


2. Collection Policy

We offer in-person collections from our kitchen in Parklands, Blouberg. Collection details will be provided via email once your order is ready.

Please note that collections are strictly limited to the confirmed date and time, as we are not always on-site.


3. Shipping Policy

We offer overnight delivery to selected areas. Delivery times may vary depending on your location, with regional or outlying areas potentially requiring 2–3 business days.

To help maintain product quality during transit, ice packs are included where necessary. This may affect shipping costs.

In the event of extreme heat or a heatwave, shipping may be postponed to protect the quality of our products. Should this occur, customers will be notified via email.


4. General Shipping Information

We currently ship within South Africa only and do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

Please ensure that all shipping details are accurate and complete, including:

  • Full street address
  • Contact name
  • Contact number
  • Company name / unit / apartment number (if applicable)

A fee of R150+ will apply for any address changes after dispatch.

Haus of Chocolat is not responsible for failed deliveries in the following cases:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address provided
  • Recipient unavailable at the time of delivery
  • No response or updated details within 24 hours of a failed delivery attempt

Returned or rerouted parcels will incur additional courier charges for reshipping and/or relabelling.


5. Courier Disclaimer & Risk

Chocolates are sensitive to heat and may melt during transit, particularly in warmer climates. While we take great care in packaging, once your order leaves our kitchen, courier handling is beyond our control.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with transit, including potential delays and heat exposure.

Delivery timelines are estimates and subject to courier operations. We are not liable for delays once your order has been dispatched.

We strongly recommend placing orders in advance and ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery.


6. Policy Updates

Haus of Chocolat reserves the right to update this policy at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will take effect immediately once published on our website.
